Notice: duplicate top-up credits on 21–22 August, and how we resolved them

Official Announcements · · Tovanix

Between 21 and 22 August 2026, an anomaly at our upstream payment channel caused settlement notifications for some USDT top-ups to be delivered more than once. As a result, a small number of accounts had the same top-up credited to their balance twice.

What we have done

Full reconciliation completed. We compared every on-chain transaction against our crediting records to establish the exact scope.

Duplicated amounts reversed. The duplicated credits have been reversed, with a matching correction entry visible under Finance.

Genuine top-ups are unaffected. Every real deposit remains fully credited. No user funds were lost.

Affected accounts notified individually by in-app message and email.

Compensation

Each affected account has been credited with 10 bonus points, available in the Points Centre.

Hardening already in place

Crediting is now de-duplicated against the on-chain transaction hash (TxID), down to the individual transfer, so repeated notifications from the channel can no longer produce a second credit.

Additional reconciliation checks now block and alert on any credit that does not match the chain record.

What you need to do

If you did not receive an individual notice, your account was not affected and no action is needed. If anything about your balance or billing records looks wrong, please open a ticket and we will verify it straight away.

We apologise for the inconvenience.
