Using cloud services (domains and servers)

Domains and cloud servers share one balance but have separate entry points:

• Domain registration: availability and price are checked live, the order page lists first-year and renewal prices separately, and processing is automatic after submission
• Domain management is split into tabs: DNS, email routing (with catch-all and destination verification), security, SSL/TLS and speed
• Servers come as lightweight application servers or cloud servers; choose a region and configuration and provisioning is automatic once billed
• Day-to-day: power actions including force stop and reboot, password reset, snapshots, firewall rules and an in-browser SSH session
• Resetting the system wipes the system disk irreversibly and requires stopping the instance; a refunded server is powered off and reclaimed after review

Frequently Asked Questions

Does resetting the system lose data?

Yes. Resetting the system disk wipes what is on the instance, cannot be undone and requires the instance to be stopped first. Back up or take a snapshot beforehand.

Can support see my password during technical assistance?

No. The password is stored encrypted, used by the system directly for SSH authorisation, never shown to an administrator in the clear and cleared when assistance ends. A bound SSH key removes the need for a password entirely.
